How Therapy and Counselling Can Help You

Therapy at its root is often "having a conversation". It is an active and collaborative process between you and myself as your therapist. My goal is to have many healing conversations with you. 

Counselling and therapy may involve us working together to help you with changing behaviours, processing emotions, increasing awareness and gaining skills. Our therapy may take many forms however research has shown that what is most effective in therapy is having a safe and trusting relationship with your therapist. It is very important that you are able to feel safe and accepted and to begin to trust in the therapy process. 

My clients come to see me because they want to talk. They don't want to have issues, and talking with me is a way of managing their issues at the very least. And at the best, it is about solving issues. I would like to support you as we work together to sort it out. 


In my office at Soft Landing Therapy, there is a warmth and a comfortable atmosphere to promote feelings of safety as you receive expertise, presence and creativity in order to support your growth. 

I work with many different kinds of issues and I have a particular specialized training in working with individuals and couples struggling with issues related to trauma and childhood sexual abuse.
